As always, the festival is rooted in Francophone music from around the world, but also focuses on other cultures who have contributed to Louisiana's history. | Artists To Watch At Merlefest The annual Merlfest bluegrass and acoustic music festival has been taking place in Wilkesboro,NC, since 1988. Celebrating 25 years in 2012, the festival will welcome some of the biggest stars to have graced its stages - including Doc Watson, Alison Krauss & Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Vince Gill, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and countless others. | Best Christian Music Festivals There are over 25 Christian music festivals held during the summer months and with so many great artists performing and locations that go from the east coast to the west coast, it can be difficult to pick which one(s) to attend.
