Dear Subscriber,
Welcome to this week's edition of your About Programming Newsletter. This week we look at choosing a database certification program, Dreamweaver CS6, and shared events in VB.NET.
Have a great week!

Choosing a Database Certification Program
"I am new to databases and I want to increase my knowledge by preparing for vendor certifications. Does it really matter which vendor I choose -- ie IBM. Microsoft, Oracle? After all, at some level, aren't all databases the same?"

First look at Dreamweaver CS6
Adobe announced today the latest version of their Creative Suite--CS6. And I had the opportunity to check it out ahead of time. Dreamweaver CS6 brings a bunch of new features, some of which I found very useful, and a whole new look (think dark...) to the latest version of Dreamweaver.

Shared Events in VB.NET
If you have written code for ... ummmmm ... more than ten minutes, then you have probably run into situations where nothing you change seems to work. You change the code one way and you get an error message. Then you change it another and that error message goes away, but a different one pops up. It seems that there's no way to fix the code.

What is Ruby?
Are you new to Ruby? Or even new to programming in general? This article tries to answer this question as simply as possible, in plain english and without buzzwords.
