When we say "must-haves," we don't mean clothes and shoes -- those are a given, we hope (unless you're going somewhere you won't be needing any). We're talking about the items you should bring to keep you safe and comfortable, have fun, and help you remember your trip.

Gadgets Guide For Travelers
We love everything about this list, especially the eReader and noise-canceling headphones. I'm all for the suggestion of the Kindle Fire, which has made my 3 hours of commuting a day so much better, and I plan on bringing it on my own vacation next week. The list includes several items in the low-to-moderate price range as well.

Don't Forget A Camera
Assuming you want to capture the memories you'll make on vacation, you'll need a camera. For first-time buyers, or if you're just looking for something not too expensive to take on your trip, here are our top picks for digital cameras under $200. (And for more on taking great photographs, check out this About Today newsletter.)

How About A First Aid Kit?
Whether you're traveling in civilization or to the world's most remote locale, our Guide to First Aid, Rod, covers what you'll need for staying safe. (Plus, like Rod says, do you really want to pay $2.50 for a bandage at the hotel gift shop?)

Bring Some Tunes To Stay Entertained
Take it from me: Having good music to groove to will make your flight/car ride/bus trip go by faster. But we understand you may not want to bring your superexpensiveawesome iPod on vacation with you. Did you know that there are MP3 players out there that cost as little as $20? Our Guide to Digital Music gives us his top picks of portable digital music players for under $100 a pop.
