Generating QR-Code Using Delphi

A Controversial Line of Code
I was affected by software patents ten years ago (in the UK). Any software that created .gif files was subject to a license fee of about $5,000 because of a Unisys license on a compression algorithm. So a package I developed for estate agents couldn't create .gif files. It used .png as a work around but it was still annoying because of the whole submarine patent aspect.

Floating Point Number
A Floating Point Number is a way to represent a precise number on a computer system. The "floating point" refers to the decimal point. Other than this it is very similar to scientific notation.
