2012's Best Rock Songs (So Far)
Let's take a moment to celebrate the best rock of 2012 thus far. I've put together a countdown of the year's 12 best rock songs, and Jack White earns the distinction of having two songs on the list. However, neither of them claim the No. 1 spot.

The expression, "what's old is new again" is especially apt in the context of what's in the new release pipeline. Remastered reissues of classics by David Bowie, Heart, Small Faces, The Byrds, Judas Priest and The Beatles join new material from Joe Walsh, Patti Smith, Neil Young, Rush, Lita Ford and Johnny Winter in the classic rock new release pipeline in June 2012.

| Philip Phillips Wins American Idol
While just three or four weeks ago it seemed unlikely, after the final performances this Tuesday, Phillip Phillips had emerged as the favorite to win season 11 of American Idol. The 21 year old did indeed emerge victorious over 16 year old vocal powerhouse Jessica Sanchez. Phillip Phillips was the only contestant this season to never finish a week in the bottom 3.
