From Angela Bradley, your About Programming Editor
Dear Subscriber,
This week in programming we are taking a look at how to make a movie collection database. Next we look at CSS3 backgrounds in HTML. Finally we look at a TreeView and Ruby 1.9.3rc1.
Have a super week!

Movie Collection Database
Looking for a way to organize your movie collection? This Microsoft Access 2010 Movie Collection Database Template provides you with the ability to track your collection by format, reviews and ratings. It includes thousands of actors and directors preloaded in the database.

How many backgrounds at a time do you use?
With CSS3 it is now possible to add as many background images layered on top of one another as you need to make the design you want. Previously, in order to layer images you had to either do it in an image editor like Photoshop or put one image in the background and place your layered image right in the HTML with an IMG element.

TreeView Article Corrected
In case anyone made their way completely through to page 3 of my recent article on programming the TreeView control in Windows forms, there was an error in it that has now been corrected. (So, if you didn't make it all the way through, you missed a golden opportunity to tell me how wrong and misinformed I am.)

Ruby 1.9.3rc1 Released
The 1.9.3 release draws closer. The first release candidate is here. It's been stable for quite some time now (since the prerelease releases), so by all means, start playing it with. Maybe don't deploy it to anything mission critical just yet, but for the most part, it should be just fine to us.
