Dear Subscriber,
Welcome to this week's edition of your About Programming Newsletter.

A CDN Can Help Speed Up Your Site
Many small businesses think that a content delivery network or CDN (if they even think of them) is something only large websites use, but a CDN can be useful for any site that uses scripting libraries like jQuery. And if your customer base is worldwide, your site might benefit from a CDN for your content as well. Learn more about CDNs and how to decide if your site can benefit from them

Making Abbreviations
Many command line and interactive tools feature abbreviations. For example, typing just rails s instead of rails server. Well Ruby has an abbreviations library as part of its standard library that, given a set of strings, will produce a set of unique abbreviations for each of the input strings. You can easily implement such features with just a few extra lines of code.
