From Angela Bradley, your About Programming Editor
Dear Subscriber,
Welcome to this week's edition of your About Programming Newsletter. This week we feature articles about the new Raspberry PI board, what languages you may want to learn if you're just starting with programming, and SQL Server pattern matching.
Have a great week!

Where is the Mouse? Is it Over Some TControl Descendant?
Suppose the following: there's a panel ("ppanel") and a panel ("cpanel") inside it as a child, there's also a TImage ("img") inside the "cpanel". The question is: "is the mouse over "ppanel"?

Raspberry PI Board on Sale Soon
Just a reminder that the $25 (well $35 for the Model B) computer on a credit card board should be going on sale in the next few days or weeks. There's a big announcement this Wednesday 29th February at 6:00 am GMT.

What Language to Learn
Different types of things are programmed using different languages. If you are just getting into programming and have a good idea of what you ultimately want to do, then you want to make sure you are learning the right languages. This article helps you decided where to start. If you aren't sure where you want to end up, don't worry, having a broad base of programming languages is a great thing!

SQL Server Pattern Matching
You may often need to create a SQL Server query that performs inexact pattern matching through the use of wildcard characters. The use of wildcards allows you to find data that fits a certain pattern, rather than specifying it exactly. For example, you can use the wildcard 'C%' to match any string beginning with a capital C.
