From Connie Barwick, your About Needlecrafts Editor
Cheryl Fall, About.com Guide to Embroidery, explains the season: "Hanukkah - also spelled as Chanukkah - is known as the Jewish Festival of Lights and last for 8 days and night. As per the Jewish calendar, the celebration starts on the 25th day of Kislev. Hanukkah commemorates the victory of the Jew over the Greeks in the battle led by Judah Maccabee, the miracle of the oil in the Menorah, and the rededication of Holy Temple in Jerusalem."

Embroidered Dreidels Pattern
The dreidel is a four-sided top used to play a traditional spinning game during the eight days of Hanukkah. Eight side of the top features a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet as does this pattern. The letters are nun, gimel, hay, and shin.

Hannukah Menorah in Needlepoint
A fully lit menorah that gives you the option of working the design without the flames and adding them each night of Hanukkah for a safe, fire-proof holiday.

Beaded Star of David Cuff
A cuff to work in peyote stitch as a Hanukkah gift or for yourself. Peyote stitch is worked in such a way that it creates a "fabric" of beads with no threads showing between the beads.

Cross Stitch Patterns for Hanukkah
This collection includes a variety of patterns for Hanukkah including menorahs, stars of David and more including holiday greetings for cards or decorations.
