As per the Jewish calendar, the celebration starts on the 25th day of Kislev. Hanukkah commemorates the victory of the Jew over the Greeks in the battle led by Judah Maccabee, the miracle of the oil in the Menorah, and the rededication of Holy Temple in Jerusalem." Embroidered Dreidels Pattern The dreidel is a four-sided top used to play a traditional spinning game during the eight days of Hanukkah.
