Hello Programmers,

This week we are taking a look at how to add passwords to your Access 2010 database. We are also looking at web safety. Finally we look at how to fight battle tanks using C#.

Have a great week!

Access 2010 Database Passwords
Password protecting an Access database allows you to protect your sensitive data from prying eyes. In this tutorial, we walk you through the process of encrypting your database and protecting with a password, step by step.

Web Safety
It's hard to think how a website might be able to hurt you, but if you're at work and you accidentally (or deliberately) go to an offensive site, you might be fired or sued for sexual harassment. I have one friend who was nearly fired simply for going to a website that played music automatically.

Versions and Versions
When it was introduced, .NET provided an easy way to mark each version of your program with a "Major, Minor, Build, and Revision" number. But it seems that every good thing gets complicated and that has happened here too.

Fight Battle Tanks in C#
You will need to get your hands a bit dirty, by which I mean the application that runs this is written in Java. If you haven't got Java installed, you'll need to get that installed first from Java SE then download the Robocode setup jar. (Java apps are in zip files cunningly disguised by renaming as .jar) and open it, it will go through the install after that.
