Auto & Wheels It's the time of year when we start to look back and get all sentimental about people we used to know... or, in our case, cars we used to know. I'll go first (and I'm going way back, so maybe put on your seatbelt). Can Ford Pinto Be a Beauty? I know, I know: a beauty? Thank goodness that it's in the eye of the beholder because I love me some old Pinto. Why? I learned to drive in my mom's 1979 Ford Pinto. That sucker stalled out on me three times during my driving test (during the 3-point turn). What a beautiful piece of... memory. If you remember the Pinto, how about these? I can spend the better part of a day just looking at it, however. Pretty sure there's nothing I'd suggest changing about the DB5. Well, I guess I'd change my ownership status from NO to YES. I've always been a fan of the Civic. It was reasonably affordable, well-engineered, and usually a lot of fun to drive. Honda redesigned the Civic for the '12 model year. Did the Si model retain the fun of the previous version? If, for some reason, you are Honda-averse, feel free to look at a couple of others (my buddy Big-Tall Mike will appreciate you checking out the GTI).
