About.com

From Connie Barwick, your About Needlecrafts Editor
Easter is hopping right around the corner. Here are some projects you can complete just in time to celebrate.

One Dozen Easter Egg Patterns
Stitch these free Easter Egg Cross Stitch patterns for a variety of Easter projects. Create ornaments, greeting cards, place cards, pins, bookmarks, or basket decorations.

Bead and Bunny Necklace
Tammy says, "I love these vegetable beads I got from D.D. Hess! She also made the eggs and bunny, and I wanted to use them all together to create an Easter necklace. The egg beads kind of reminded me of the shape of pearls, so that inspired me to incorporate these lampwork beads in with some pale green pearl beads and a few crystal and glass beads. Pearls are available in all kinds of colors these days, especially in pastels, which seem perfect for a holiday like Easter."

Bunny Hat to Knit
Cute little hats are the perfect gift for a mom of a toddler. It doesn't make any noise, won't break and is perfectly adorable on their little one. This bunny hat features a rolled brim and bunny ears that curl in on themselves, as well as a face worked in duplicate stitch. It is not designed to cover the ears; add another two or three inches for that.

Door Stop Bunny
Nancy says, "It seems like I spend the winter telling the kids to close the door and the spring, telling them to leave the door open. Even the bedroom doors to let the fresh air circulate in the house. This little bunny reminds them that it's a nice day to leave the door open. It could also decorate shelves and mantles."
